About Us

Two guys, four fat thumbs – there must be an easier way to communicate by text…

GrpTXT is the culmination of 12 month’s development, created with a view to making text based communication with groups easier and more accessible.

GrpTXT is the brainchild of four Wellington based thumbs.  Between us we have over 15 years experience in the professional services industry, two of the thumbs having worked for a leading international accounting firm and two for both national and international law firms.  Having worked in New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States, we share a wealth of business experience.

GrpTXT was originally conceptualised with sports teams in mind – principally to make the communication of cancellation and ground change details more efficient.  Over time, it has become apparent that the applications for GrpTXT are potentially much broader and, accordingly, the final product has been tailored for the benefit of the nation’s thumbs generally.

While developing GrpTXT, and once the mobile gateway had been established, two of the thumbs responsible found it easier to send texts using a laptop rather than a mobile phone.  Hey presto, QuickTXT was born.  Strangely addictive (and seriously convenient) we hope you like our QuickTXT functionality.

Well these four fat thumbs have work to do.  While people tell us “the site rocks”, there are many more features that we’re looking to develop and release.

We hope you enjoy participating in GrpTXT.

The four fat thumbs.
